The day turned out almost exactly as predicted by RASP, low, largely blue, relatively weak and finishing early.
The hope that it would turn out better was unfounded. For those who left site, 3000' amsl was typical before climbs weakened markedly. Towns, notably Worcester, were relatively reliable sources, but something changed north of the Mynd and those that got that far, found lift harder to find.
